Sources
There is no combined score. A score would hide which source said what, and the sources measure different things.
- Tor Project exit list, refreshed hourly.
- DNS blocklists queried live: Spamhaus ZEN, SpamCop, DroneBL and the Passive Spam Block List. Each return code is translated with the list's documented meaning.
- AbuseIPDB community reports, when the site has an API key.
- A short list of hosting and cloud networks.
If your address is listed
Spamhaus PBL listings for home addresses are normal: they mean the address should not send mail directly to other mail servers. Other listings usually mean a device on the connection sent spam or was infected, or someone who had the address before you did.
Scan your devices, change router passwords, then use the list's own removal page. Shared mobile and carrier-grade NAT addresses can be listed because of other customers; your provider has to deal with those.
Questions
- Spamhaus says unknown. Why?
- Spamhaus refuses queries sent through large public resolvers and from some networks. Unknown is not the same as clean; check at check.spamhaus.org.
